Martina Radwan

Martina Radwan started in her native Germany in the film industry in 1987 as a Camera Technician at ARRI, Berlin. In 1988 she began to work in production as Assistant Camera, for DP's like Robby Mueller, Juergen Juerges and directors like Wim Wenders. In 1995 she moved to New York where she attended the film program at NYU. In 1996 she started to work as a Director of Photography. Since then she shoot numerous features, documentaries and shorts.

In 2001 she collaborated with Ellen Kuras as 2nd Camera Operator on 'Personal Velocity', a feature directed by Rebecca Miller and produced by InDiGent. The film won 2002 at Sundance Film Festival the Cinematographer Award and The Grand Jury price for Best Film in 2002.

'Ferry Tales', a documentary she shot for Katja Esson, was nominated for the 2004 Academy Award. She traveled the world for documentaries to countries like Afghanistan, Slovenia, Mauritania and Brazil. Her narrative work includes 'Flannel Pajamas', a feature written and directed by the well-known independent film distributor Jeff Lipsky, 'Singapore Dreaming' a feature taking place in Singapore, which won numerous international awards and 'Killing Floor', a thriller directed by Gideon Raff and produced by Doug Liman & Avi Arad. Beginning of '07 Martina Radwan photographed 'Rain', the first indigenous film of the Bahamas, produced & directed by Maria Govern. In the summer of '07 she re-teamed with Gideon Raff for a horror film, 'Train' produced by Millennium Films, which produced prestigious films like 'The Wicker Man' and 'Black Dahlia'.
